Ganges as a goddess is worshiped and Gangotri is the source of the Ganges a Char Dham pilgrimage.
Yamunotri temple is the Goddess Yamuna by Maharaja Pratap Shah Built in the 19th century and again in the 20th century devoted rebuilt. Yamunotri Dham situated in the west of the shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas from Gangotri opposite.
